I've been a juicer for years. I own 3 juicers. And this Breville juicer may well be the best yet.
The the juicer I've used most regularly is the excellent Philips HR1861 Whole Fruit Juicer, Aluminium. I've been loyal to it for years. It's so good that, when I ran the first one into the ground after years of heavy use, I replaced it with an identical one. It makes a juice in 15 minutes, from preparing the fruit and veg to cleaning the machine. It's quick, efficient and easy to use.
The Breville is the first juicer I've come across to rival the Philips. It's almost identical. Very easy to take apart. Very quick to use - due to the wide chute (wider than the Philips, so it will take even large apples) that takes whole fruit. Altogether a joy to use.
The only difference I can see between the Breville and the Philips is the former has a larger motor. That should mean I can hammer it even harder than I have my poor Philips juicer! Overall as a centrifugal juicer I can't fault it.
If you're looking to buy your first juicer, the Breville (or slightly cheaper Philips) is where I'd recommend starting. I made the mistake of dipping a toe in the water with a little plasticky juicer with a tiny motor for around £30. It's too slow and fiddly to use, so it's been gathering dust for some time. I would recommend bypassing the lower end of the juicer market entirely if you want to avoid frustration.
My other juicer is a seriously expensive & seriously slow Green Star juicer. As a masticating juicer, it makes the best quality juices. But only if I've got 45 minutes to spare, which generally I haven't. It does get the most juice from fruit and veg (the pulp is very dry) and is therefore cheaper to run as you need less fruit and veg. It's the slowness of the whole process that means it's saved for best though.
Downsides? The Breville (and the Philips) are big, hefty pieces of kit that will ideally need to be left out on the counter (or at a pinch on top of the fridge). They won't really fit in tiny kitchenettes.

I have had several juicers and this is the best one yet. Exactly what I was looking for, ticks all the boxes for me.
1. easy to clean (if you put a bag as advised in the tips section, to catch the bits it's even easier!)
2. Large enough parts, no fiddling when cleaning
3. Takes whole fruit and veg, no need to chop chop, saving me time!
4. Amazing exctraction! I'm sure I'm getting more juice with this juicer from similar portions than any other juicer I have had in the past!
5. It sits very nicely on my kitchen counter. Doesn't rotate around during juicing, It's stylish too.
So five things it delivers on and that gets it 5 starts from me! I love it.

Well, it does exactly what it says on the box... it's a terrific juicer, sturdily and impressively built. This is obvious from just picking it up: it's fairly weighty (not unduly heavy), and made of materials that aren't going to get damaged easily. When juicing, the weight of the fruit (or whatever) is enough to pull through the food, so there's no need to push it through. In fact, I wouldn't do that anyway, as it yields unsatisfactory results... best let the machine do the work, which is perfectly fine.
It copes magnificently with all sorts of whole fruit, and there is no need to core things like apples.
Cleaning, which is very important, is straight forward. It is quite large, so I do find storage a bit tricky (I have a small kitchen), but it is a great product, and it now has a regular place in my kitchen.

Very good juicer, i had it before and knew its performance. for this kind of juicer it's one of the best. easy to clean, just need some space to put the parts. if you want to get more juice from the fruit and veg buy the expensive ones. If you can afford it!

This is the first juicer I've ever owned, and now I wonder why it has taken me so long!
The juicer was well packed, and came with full instructions. It has an attractive stainless steel finish with a nice shine too, so once it was set up in the kitchen it really looked the part, despite the significant space it takes up on the work top which could be a problem if your space is limited.
The juicer took a variety of whole fruit no problem at all, with no movement of the actual juicer itself whilst it was working away. The two speeds this product has come in handy, I made some excellent carrot juice and the juicer made light work of the harder items on the higher speed.
The actual juice itself was plentiful, with plenty of space in the pulp bin; any pulp was also dry and really not a problem.
Lastly, the juicer was really easy to clean. In fact most of it is entirely dishwasher friendly. It doesn't get any easier than that!
All in all, this is a quality juicer that'll make light work of whatever healthy goodies you throw at it - providing you don't mind it taking up a bit of worktop space.

So far we have been very pleased with this juicer, having juiced quite a lot of vegetables etc. It's fairly straight forward for cleaning and easy to reassemble. Another reviewer I think mentioned about not pressing too hard when juicing things, otherwise it can take a little bit of plastic from the collar that's underneath cutter unit. It's not a big problem and it doesn't stop it being a very efficient machine if used with care.

I have used a few juicers but this one really is good. I juice all types of fruit and veg and especially greens like spinach and kale which often get caught up and don't get juiced well but this machine does a great job.

..that I bought this model without checking others solely because in one of those Xmas roundups of gadgets chefs said they couldn't live without, one mentioned this juicer. My old grumpy Cuisinart (?) died some years ago and I replaced it with a cheap juicer for oranges etc - perfectly practical and I have given it a 5 star review on Amazon - but oranges is all it does and I yearned for carrot juice and other exotic and healthy beverages.
Amazon delivered this in 24 hours. Well packed. Easy to put together. Seems sturdy. Instructions fairly clear. So - a kilo of carrots and a couple of apples later we were drinking excellent carrot juice that seemed to have taken absolutely no time to make.
The machine is powerful and quick - gentle pressure on the pusher is all that is needed. Have experimented with a few other fruit and veg and they have worked equally well.
It is a little cumbersome to clean - but then every juicer I have had has been - and it is important to clean it fairly quickly. As others have said there is quite a number of parts to clean afterwards and it took a little longer than I had expected - but only the filter basket is challenging. I prefer to clean by hand rather than stick in the dish washer but that is just my personal preference.
In short - I am pretty happy with it. I feel like 4.5 stars but 4 would be unfair so I will give it 5.
And checking something for this review revealed a Bloody Mary recipe so am off to try that this evening under the excuse that I doing research!
If anyone can recommend a good recipe book for juicers I would appreciate it

After researching juicers online and reading many reviews of other products here on Amazon, we chose this one based on a comment somebody made in a review saying how good their Breville juicer was.
They were absolutely right. The juicer is brilliant: well made with 2 powerful speeds, a perfectly acceptable amount of pulp, and every detachable part is easy to clean and dishwasher friendly.
Well worth the extra compared to some of the cheaper models, and the juice has been so delicious.
